Seeing so many young and very young aspiring lifesavers competing in our 12th NUS Invitational Lifesaving championships warmed my heart.....The SERC was successfully 'launched' with many took part in, some started nervously but gained confidence as it goes along, some were steady and won the applause from many.
Whether you make it or not, it was an effort that come with guts and the never say die attitude which you have displayed.
Hope in real life, you will not panic during an emergency and can effect a successful rescue ...that what a lifesaver is for.
Remember, we are not just swimmers, canoeists or runners, we are lifesavers...
