AND, Johanna's stuck in BKK! " The airport was forced to close after being occupied by protesters who are calling on the Thai government to quit. " (BBC, 2008) Now, she staying at her friends place and thinking of taking a bus to Phuket and taking a flight out from there. and yes, she's safe and sound.

Maybe she'll miss her flight back to Germany? and stay with us for another semester? hahaha!

Fourteen things i miss about ULC

After so long never go for training...i come up with list of things i miss about ULC

1. I miss Theen Mun's funny (corny) lame jokes.
2. I miss Sean's funny (egoistic) lame jokes.
3. I miss Mr.Sim's funny (not funny, maybe due to generation gap) lame jokes.

4. I miss Kiat Ju's "Wow"
5. I miss Nicole's "I tell u hor"
6. I miss Nick's "Aiyo"
7. I miss Rong Ming's "Come, i give u a pat on your back"

8. I miss Nicky's rosy red check.
9. I miss Crystal's friendly, cheerful smile.
10. I miss the German Beauty who is leaving us soon..
10. I miss my old ls123 batch, some who now magically "disappeared".

11. I miss hearing the whistle during training.
12. I miss SRC swimming pool.

it has been a long and winding journey...



we finally took our BM test today...


but it was in the midst of all that exam and BM test stress,





that we saw the lighter side of things...

although one eventually ended up becoming
sleeping beauty - chio hor?





and another becoming slightly out of her mind - finally resorting to violence






but at the end of the day....
the results don't matter that much

the journey we embark on is what makes a difference




friends being there for you when you need them the most...

and this wonderful journey that we have embarked on will continue...

LS/BM AY 2008/2009 Sem 2

HEY GUYS!!!

kk we'll be conductin LS and BM course nxt semester, i need 2 people to help me to teach! already have 2 people to help teach, so need at least 2 more.trainging will be on mondays and wednesdays..7-9pm. kinda time consuming but what's a little sacrifice on our part so that more people are capable of rescue? haha oh helpers/intructors need at least a BM qualification. thx!

SLH 1101: Introduction to ULC's Latest Measurement System (SI-m Units)

Course Overview:
Lecture 1: Recap on the International System of Units (SI Units), Eg: 1m = 100cm;

Lecture 2: Basic overview of ULC's latest measurement system (SI-m Units);

Lecture 3: Correlation between SI Units and SI-m Units.
As Chapter 3 involves very convoluted calculations and forms the crux of this module, a brief summary has been provided as below for your advanced reading and understanding prior to Lecture 3. Pls refer to figure below for illustration (click to view full picture):

In the SI-m system of measurement,

-> 400.116 metres in SI Units = 200 SImetres;

pls take note that the statement above forms the fundamental basis of this new system

For ease of future applications, it may be assumed that,

-> 400metres in SI Units = 200 SImetres;

Hence,

-> 1 SImetre = 2 metres in SI Units

or alternatively in short-handed format,

-> 1m = 2SIm

(for ease of communication SIm may be pronounced as "sim" as in "sim card" "sim city" etc)

Course Structure

-> There are only 3 lectures in this module.

-> The rest of the semester will consist of practical sessions at the SRC swimming pool and Palawan Beach.

-> Practical sessions will allow students to have plenty of opportunities to apply and familiarise themselves with the new measurement system (SI-m Units) and the chance to have personalised instructional sessions with the founder (who will also be the lecturer of SLH 1101) of the SI-m Units measurement system.
