ULC Tee-Shirts

Hi everyone!

Happy New Year to all! :)

This year, the ULC committee will be printing new ULC shirts to celebrate our corps' 28th birthday as well as the many many years of continuity and passion for lifesaving. This batch of tee-shirts will be made available to everyone in ULC and we would really like to encourage everyone to purchase it. :) From our members in LS123 and BM, to our seniors/alumni who have graduated (YUPP!!), as well as those currently training under Mr Sim. :)

The printing of shirts will only begin after we get a sense of which design is most popular. So all your votes are important!! :) There are 5 main sets of designs which are primarily the same except their fonts, and they come in red / navy blue. Please only select 1 favourite out of the 10 shown below. Thank you. :)

NUS Biathlon 2010

NUS Biathlon is back!

It is on the 28 March 2010 at NUS Kent Ridge Campus.

The registration will be open from the 15 February 2010 onwards.

Bronze Cross 2010 - 6 March

Bronze Cross 2010 has been set to be on:

Date: 6th of March 2010 (Saturday)
Time: 10am-12noon
Venue: Palawan Beach, Sentosa
Cost: $55 (incl. equipment and exam fees)

The test date is tentatively on 13th March, Saturday, in the day.
(Please be prepared that in case we cannot get an examiner on the 13th, we might have to shift the exam date to another Saturday. This is what happened last year.)

In addition, if there is anyone who is still interested in the course (you need to have BM), do let me know by this weekend. :)

Running session by Nike

Nike Run Club would be organising a Running session on the 11th of February (next thursday). Venue would be our Kent Ridge campus itself. It would be a collaboration between Sports Club and Nike. Nike professionals (including a certified coach) would be on hand to provide running tips and experiences. It would be a 5km run/jog around our NUS campus which about 50 runners would partake in. There would be new Nike products for all runners to try out during the run. It would be a fully organised run with snacks and refreshments provided.

Meeting point would be the foyer beside SRC Swimming pool (outside Sports Club Room) at 4:15pm. Please come prepared with your running attire.

Pls let me know by 8th of February, (Monday) 12pm if you are interested. Slots are limited and on a first-come-first-served basis.

Lifeguard duty lobang

Hi all, there is a lifeguard duty lobang @ Sentosa during the Chinese new year period. (They are short of lifeguards due to CNY)

The dates are 14, 15, or/and 16 Feb 2010, and you will be paid $9 per hour.
The shifts are as follows:
Morning - 8.30am-4.30pm
Afternoon - 11.15am-7.15pm
Fullday - 8.30am-7.15pm
